As pleas for help
were answered across the USA when Louisiana residents reeled under the
after-effects of Katrina, a call went out to an inventor in Western Pennsylvania
for a machine that would help in this unimaginable situation. The inventor,
Frank Saylor, is well known and widely respected for his pioneering ruggedized
equipment solution approach to problem solving. He rose to the challenge
by developing a machine for a post-Katrina environment. His answer was
the VPT, a Versatile Portable Power and Tool system that can operate anywhere
in the world without external connections.
While created to dig out and clean up after a disaster,
the VPT has proven itself to be a unique, elegant answer to many previously
difficult operating environments such as land and sea rescue, the construction
industry, as well as defense applications, and any tasks involving remote
locations.
While the VPT is customizable and can be purpose-built
to customer specifications, the standard equipment package includes a
10 KW totally brushless Electric Generator, a Welder, a 1,450 Psi Pressure
Washer, a 100 gallon per minute Water Pump, Work Lights providing 600
watts of illumination, a multi-voltage Plasma Cutter, and a four-cylinder
Air Compressor with a commercial grade pump. Options include a Trash Pump,
etc.
The VPT can be powered by your choice of a Diesel
or a Gasoline engine. A single fueling can operate the VPT for up to eight
hours of uninterrupted service.
Portability is a priority with the VPT; the entire package fits on a small
trailer and can be easily loaded and unloaded from a pickup truck bed.
Whether it’s needed in a remote location for clean up after a natural
disaster, search and rescue efforts, railroad maintenance at trackside,
or serving construction crews erecting the buildings of tomorrow in remote
locations, the VPT is ready for the challenge.
The VPT—Made in America and made like no
other machine on Earth. |
