MCS Achieves AAR M-1002 Certification 

 

MCS now has M-1002 Tank Car Certification through the Association of American Railroads, in addition to its longstanding M-1003 Freightcar Certification.  M-1002 is a highly sought after and difficult-to-achieve quality certification that places the company in a differentiated market position for its fabrication and machining services.  Contact us for additional information.

MCS Achieves AISC Certification 

 

MCS has added "AISC-Certified" to its list of Quality Certifications.  The Company has met the stringent quality system requirements of the American Institute of Steel Construction for Certified Bridge Fabrication - Simple and Standard for Bridge and Highway Metal Components.

December 2018

MCS Receives Grant from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central & Northern PA 

 

MCS received a Ben Franklin grant that will help fund research the company is conducting with the Civil Engineering Department of Penn State University to conduct an analysis of the design and performance of metal foundations. The results of the study will provide third party data to expand the adoption of these efficient foundation alternatives by engineers who develop project specifications.

MCS Hosts Ribbon Cutting for On-Site Adult Weld School

             

  • 720-hour program, Tuition-Free, "Learn Where You Earn" program with the aim of earning high-level welding certifications

  • Collaboration with Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center, awarded $300,000 grant through the Pennsylvania Manufacturing Training-to-Career Program

  • MCS invested $30,000 to retrofit portion of 52,000 sq. ft. facility to accommodate welding stations and a classroom
